On May 7th we officially started sleeping in and living in our new house! Here's the view from our front step (and from our living room window), complete with Josiah in his daddy's cowboy hat:
I failed to mention this in my last post, but Josiah has been such a trooper through all of this moving and transition. He has been very patient and played on his own a lot while we were cleaning and painting. He is such a great little boy!
Currently our time revolves around unpacking. Unpacking is no fun. It is slow and painful. It really wouldn't be too bad if we didn't have other things to do - grass to mow, food to cook, dishes to wash, laundry...keeping up with everything else plus unpacking is the trick. And where did all this stuff come from?! I really didn't think we had this much. I am certain that it multiplies while we sleep. Our goal is to have everything out of our storage unit by the end of May. So we will be unpacking for a while.
Jason was able to get his tractor moved over to our house last week. This is a tractor that he inherited from his Grandpa Regehr. It needs some work, but it does run, and hopefully will work well for what we need. Jason and Josiah are very excited to have a tractor. On Mother's day Jason's dad helped us move all the tractor implements to the house (thank you!).
We are about 32 weeks (according to the doctors) into our pregnancy now. Only 2 weeks away from when Josiah was born. Yikes. I hope this baby stays put much longer than that. Last week they did measurements at the weekly ultrasound, and the little guy is 3 lbs 4 oz! That sounds really big to me, but only puts him in the 10th percentile. I'm guessing that is a normal size for 30 weeks (by our calculations), but don't know that for sure. And the doctors are not willing to budge on their due date. Oh well. Just hoping they don't want to induce me as soon as I hit their week 40 mark. Will post a pic of my belly soon!
